Salemtowne Civic Association

The Golf Committee consists of seven members, each serving a one-year term.  Membership is comprised of:

  • Current and past president of the Salemtowne Men’s Golf Club (SMGC)
  • Current and past Captain of the Salemtowne Women’s Golf Association (SWGA)
  • Greens Fee Coordinator
  • Secretary/Treasurer
  • Tee Time Coordinator
  • The Board Liaison to the Committee and the Grounds Superintendent serve as non-voting members.

 The Committee’s responsibilities include:

  • Publish the annual Golf Calendar with information on SWGA and SMGC activities;
  • Review and revision of the Salemtowne Golf Course Rules and Etiquette that govern the golf course and golf play;
  • Assist the Board of Directors in the enforcement of the Golf Course Rules;
  • Work with the SCA Director of Operations and the Grounds Superintendent on issues relating to the operation and maintenance of the golf course;
  • Assist the Greens Fee Coordinator and the Tee Time Coordinator in performance of their duties;
  • Address all complaints concerning golfers, golf course improvements and maintenance;
  • Oversee the Non-Resident Golf Program;
  • The Committee oversees three annual tournament events: the Memorial Day Tournament, the 4th of July Tournament and the Labor Day Tournament.  There are several more tournaments throughout the golf season sponsored by the Men’s and Women’s golf clubs.
