At its January 20, 2023, meeting the Salemtowne Board of Directors considered, and approved, a request by the Boy Scouts to use our flag poles to teach the skills necessary for the boys to earn their Flag Etiquette Badge.
It was agreed that the younger boys would use the flagpole near the golf shack. The older boys and the Honor Guard would use the flagpole by the Community Center. The troops will give adequate prior notice of the date and time they would like to use one of the poles to insure that it is a convenient and available time.
This is a wonderful opportunity for us to partner with the community and to be of service to its young people. We also hope to get some great photos to add to our gallery.
