At the Board of Directors’ Meeting, 3/16/23, it was reviewed and discussed that a year ago the Landscaping and Architecture Review Committee (LARC) posted a nice article, with sample pictures, of well done garbage and recycling enclosures. At that time LARC requested residents comply with the Rules and Regulations – which all new residents sign and agree to comply with when purchasing a home in Salemtowne – as stated in Article V, Section C, Page 35, Garbage and Yard Depbris, of the Rules and which reads as follows:
“Household garbage, trash, and other waste, along with yard debris, shall be kept in closed containers intended for that purpose. Those containers shall be stored so as not to be visible from the street, golf course, greenway, or other common property.”
Since that time, few residents in violation have taken any action. This notice is to announce those in violation will be contacted in person with written follow-up from the LARC Landscape team beginning this month. We are granting a 90-day time period during which enclosers can be installed. We understand many properties are challenged in finding a location for these enclosers. Please reach out to your LARC Landscape representatives when they contact you for helpful solutions to enclosure designs and placement.
