At the January 20, 2023, Board of Directors’ meeting, Head Groundskeeper Jason Halfman reported that our community trees suffered little to no damage in the recent ice and windstorms. We have healthy and resilient trees that are well cared for by Jason and crew.

Jason reported that the remodel of the basement grounds crew office is complete. This has made it a lighter, brighter and more user-friendly space.

Coming up in the next week will be the cement pour for the bases of the organic materials bunkers in the storage area. This will improve these spaces’ ability to be used without digging into the earth removing materials and to be cleaner in general. The Salemtowne Men’s Club has generously donated the funds for this project.

The new forest service type gait for the upper storage and RV lot entrance, on Winslow Way, is due to arrive in the next couple of weeks and should be installed within the next month. The Board approved the $1000.00 in cost for this project to come out of the ARF at the Board’s October meeting.

Thank you to the Grounds Crew, and to Jason, for keeping the common grounds healthy, convenient to use and looking great.
