Salemtowne Golf Course is a nine-hole executive golf course with professionally manicured greens and fairways. There are limited non-resident memberships available for adults 50 years and older. This is an OGA rated course.
The play of golf is coordinated totally by volunteers. There is no pro in the golf shop; however, volunteers are scheduled as Tee Timers in the Golf Shop every afternoon from noon until 5 p.m. from April through October 31.
There are no tee times. There are no scheduled activities between November and April 1 so play is open all the time. From April 1 through October 31, the golf calendar lists regularly planned events. The course is readily available in the afternoons all year, except when a special tournament is in progress. There is a regular group of men who play most mornings beginning about 8:30 a.m. New participants are welcome or a person can tee off after the men begin play.
There are active Men’s and Women’s golf groups. Men’s Day is Tuesday a.m. Women play on Wednesday a.m. Within these groups there are special tournaments and activities. There are three, two-day holiday tournaments: Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day. There are couples tournaments two Friday mornings a month.
A handicap can be established in order to participate in the men’s or women’s activities, tournaments, etc. A person can play only for his own pleasure, not needing a handicap.
The 2022 golf fee (January through December) for a non-resident member is $550, a second member of the same household is $325. This fee is prorated for first-time members at the time of joining. A certificate for a complimentary round of golf may be obtained from Greens Fee Supervisor. Non-Resident Membership application forms can also be obtained from the Salemtowne office or from the Tee Timer.
